the service
roaming expenses is a personal finance app for tracking income and expenses, budgets, accounts, recurring items, and shared ledgers. you enter your own data; we do not connect to your bank to import transactions automatically.
not financial advice
the app is a tracking tool. it is not financial, tax, investment, or accounting advice. numbers and charts are based on what you enter.
your account
keep your sign-in details safe. you are responsible for activity under your account. tell us if you think someone else is using it.
your data
the financial records you enter remain yours. you decide what to add, edit, or share. see the privacy policy for how we store and process that data.
receipt scanning
automated receipt reading can be wrong. always check merchant, date, amount, and category before you save a transaction.
sharing
if you share a ledger, you are responsible for who you invite. people with accepted access can view and change shared data according to how the app works.
acceptable use
use the service for personal finance tracking. do not abuse the service, try to break it, overload it, or use it for unlawful activity.
as-is service
the service is provided as-is. we do not promise it will always be available, perfectly accurate, or that every feature will stay the same forever.
future plans and limits
we may introduce paid plans or usage limits later. if we do, we will give notice in the app or by email before those changes affect your account.
ending access
you may stop using the service at any time. we may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or if we need to shut the service down.
liability
to the extent allowed where you live, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on data in the app. our total liability for claims about the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if the service was free.
changes
we may update these terms. the “last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
